Garages & Additions by Asheville Framing & Building
Garages can be a great addition to your home and appraisal value.
Garages are great investments. Everyday, people use garages for many things in addition to parking their cars in it. If you are thinking about having an attached or un-attached garage built on your property, we can help you.
A garage serves many uses including the traditional vehicle protection and parking. You can also use a garage for tools and other items that may be cluttering your home, basement, or on your property.
Asheville Framing & Building has turned garages into offices where a simple 24x24 garage was turned into 4 offices or 8 cubicles. Other clients of ours have used their garages for art studio's, craft shops, sewing rooms, and even yard sale stations. AFB never underestimates the clients' ideas and creativity. Some parents need that perfect extra space for dad to have a clubhouse or sports lounge, or for the kids to have a game room, or for mom to use for hosting get togethers.
One of the best things people can do when building a garage is to add living space above it. It is built into the roof and usually very economical space. Many people call this a garage apartment or a bonus room. You can still have parking and storage downstairs and have a "mother-in-law suite" above the garage. Maybe even a room for that teenager who really thinks he wants to move out? Garages have many uses and they are always a great addition to any home or property.
Additions
Adding a room or adding another house? That is the question. Most people want to stay with the same look of their home while others want something to contrast their existing home. Some want a simple room or two; others want another complete home attached to their current home. First you will need to know what you are looking for. Some people have bonus space or basement area that they could utilize into extra living space and an addition is not really needed. We desire your business, but we like to consult with each client to make sure you are making the best decision for the project they want completed.
We can meet with you to discuss your ideas and plans in detail. Sometimes clients want to combine an addition/remodel together and give their updated home with the addition, a new look. We will look at your home to determine if an addition is feasible. Questions like: How will it look when we are done? Is the preliminary idea too big or too small? Do we need a set of plans for this job? Will it give you the best home appeal? Is there a better side of the home that the addition could go on? How much will it increase the value of your home? We could meet with you and come up with a plan to fit your budget. We will then price the project and discuss timing, scheduling, and payment with you.
