We have a great combination of Framing Experience within the ranks of our company and there is not any framing situation that we cannot resolve. The frame of a home or commercial project is one of the most important parts of building. Asheville Framing & Building is always open to new forms and methods of construction, but we do research within our company to provide the best possible jobsite results. AFB does support new construction ideas, tools, and innovative products that improve the construction industry daily. You need more than a few people with a hammer and some nails to complete a framing project. You need skill, communication, team work, and success in the end for all. Here is what Asheville Framing can do for you:

Basement Framing - We do structural and non-structural basement framing. Included in this in major remodels is re-supporting an existing structure beginning in the basement. On new construction we would begin with the exterior (if any) and the load bearing walls. Then we would frame the non-load bearing walls and/or furring strips.

Sill Plate - We install the sill plate according to what the plans specify. A treated 2x with foam is standard but the ultimate decision is made by the contractor.

Floor Systems - We install many types of floor systems including TJI's, Silent Floor, Trusses, Joists, and Beams. The standard sub flooring used on most of our projects is Advantech.

Walls - We install many types of walls including 2x4 or 2x6 wood or metal studs with plywood or Osb sheathing nailed or screwed, and glued if necessary.

Roofing - We install many types of roofs including beam rooms, joist roofs, truss roof, and the joist/truss combo. The sheathing is usually 5/8" minimum but some builders and plans call for ½" sheathing.

Exterior Wall Protective Paper - We bid and install Tyvek, roofing felt, or whatever type of protectant is specified in the plans or in writing by the builder.

Roofing Protective Paper - We install several different types of roofing protection. When you are using the Zip System, Titanium, or Standard Roofing Felt, we will bid it accordingly.
