Demolition by Asheville Framing & Building
Sometimes before you can move forward, you have to remove the old things such as the walls that were used to build your home many years ago. Asheville Framing knows how to do complete demolition without disturbing structural necessities. Sometimes termites can destroy wood in your walls and roofing structure and actually make your home a hazard. We can come in and evaluate your complete home, see where repairs need to be made, and see what you want to remove.
Demolition is not an easy task. There are many issues with safety being at the top. When you remove old building materials in any way, you will encounter broken wood, rusty nails, sharp tile, drywall detaching from the ceiling, and much more. Hard hats, face masks, steel toe shoes or boots, long sleeve shirts, and pants not shorts, are necessary to ensure safety. Of course they don't make steel sole shoes or boots so stepping on nails is always a concern.
Pricing is also hard. Sometimes it may be a job where it is just "knock everything down", but other times the job entails avoiding certain parts of the home, not damaging the flooring, and not touching the windows. On one of our recent jobs, the bid to remove, clean and salvage the original hardwood flooring cost as much as getting new premium hardwood flooring installed. It all has to do with detail and the amount of skill needed to demolish certain areas and save others. Asheville Framing & Building is experienced with this aspect of the construction process and we look forward to working with you.
Contact us with your request and we will go over your "Scope of Work". After we agree on a price, we can begin the demolition of your project.
