Asheville Framing & Building builds great decks. The pricing would depend on what type of deck you would like installed and the jobsite conditions. Materials used are also a factor. Most of the decks we build are built with treated lumber stained with cedar stain or similar.
Decks are a great addition to almost any home or structure. It allows protected outdoor space to enjoy the fresh air, view the stars, have a picnic, grill some food, and even a cigarette smoking escape for homes where smoking is not accepted. Decks are not for storage! Have a purpose, plan, and even some furnishing ideas before you build this beautiful deck onto your new home. It could easily create great "curb appeal" and increase the value of your home.
The average deck we build consists of:
- 6x6 Treated Support Posts
- 2x10 Treated Rim Board
- 2x8 Treated Joists
- 1x6 Treated Decking
- 2x6 Treated Railing
- 2x2 Treated Pickets
Some Builders want us to use "Iron Wood" decking for many more years of use. Other Builders have us complete the rough framing and then they finish off the decking, railing, and pickets with their own custom ideas and finish trim woodworking skills. We can complete a "turnkey" deck or simply build it to the point where you would like to take over.
