About Asheville Framing & Building
Asheville Framing & Building works with dozens of builders in the Asheville North Carolina area. Images from a few of these projects can be seen on this website and more will be added as they are completed.
Some of AFB's projects framed in the last year are a large Social Hall on Lake James, an extensive roof remodel on the Unity Center in Cherokee, a Christian Camp Staff Dormitory in Weaverville, and many individual homes.
A testament to our work came from a Buncombe County Building Inspector on a project in Swannanoa, where he stated that "somebody had been doing finish carpentry," because the rough framing looked like a finish trim job. Not to say that every job goes perfect because they don't, but we always keep the success and reputation of the General Contractor, Homeowner, and AFB in mind.
AFB has a business model that surpasses most of the residential and commercial framing companies available in or around Western North Carolina. All of our framers own a profit sharing percentage in the Company. So that means everyone from the basic laborer, to framer, to lead person is concerned about the success of your project and the profitability for both of our companies.
We are so confident in our work that even after we have completed your job and have been paid our full balance, we will come back to repair any work that is our responsibility.
Your satisfaction, our success, and future work depend on our commitment to excellence - after all, we are all working toward the same goals.
AFB always honors schedules, quality and due dates!
For example, a Builder requires that a 2000 square foot home be completed in 2 weeks, and depending on the home, that schedule may be possible. We work to balance budget, deadlines, safety, and quality to make sure the job is successful. In other cases, Asheville Home Builders may request AFB to include extra time in their estimate to ensure that everything is clean and as perfect as possible. This may entail discarding any lumber pieces that are defective in any way. There are other builders/projects that just require rough framing which includes that measurements, loads and layout are correct. No matter what the requirements and schedules, the staff at AFB works with every client to determine exactly what they want, and then make suggestions if necessary.
Our goal is your repeat business so understanding what is required is very important. Our ideal job is being included in the project from the time the foundation is being installed to assure accuracy. It is always possible for us to come in after and make adjustments due to a faulty foundation, but everyone would rather start the job correctly from the beginning.
We usually set up each General Contractor with one of our Lead Men and all questions or concerns run through them. Once your first project is successful, this Lead Person would run most of your future projects so a profitable relationship can be built with someone who you are familiar with.
We offer discounts for multiple projects when contract-secured. These contracts include bi-weekly progress reports with photos on request. You will always be provided with contact numbers for our Lead People, Office, and Project Managers; so you will never have a problem finding us to answer a question or to get something done. In fact just recently, Gary & Jim had to go out on a Sunday afternoon during a snow storm to fix a deck stair rail for a Monday inspection. No problem! They got the 4x4 vehicle out, went to the property, and got it done.
To get your project started, fill out our Bid Request form and we will promptly contact you, pick up the plans, and have a detailed bid back to you within a few days.
Thank you for taking Asheville Framing & Building into consideration for your next framing project. We will work hard to earn and retain your business.
